MISSION STATEMENT
To successfully market the Thomas Built and Champion bus product line to the
New England transportation community by focusing on and attaining
a significant share of the market through demonstration,
availability, product support and a superior knowledge of the
benefits of our product.
COMPANY HISTORY
In 1977 we began selling school buses in the New England area,
primarily Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. There was only
one salesperson working out of an automobile with a small office
located in Waltham, MA and a part-time office staff to assist in
the operation.
In 1984 the business began to grow and a second salesperson was
hired. The Champion Commercial bus line was added. The business
remained relatively small until 1988 when it seemed the efforts of
the past 10 years finally began of pay off. We added a third sales
person to the staff along with additional office staff. It seems
that this was our defining moment as a company. The Principal
changed and the seeds of growth began. Our school bus sales were
steadily increasing.
In 1990 and 1991 the market took a dramatic downward turn
coinciding with the recession. To compensate for the down turn we
concentrated on used bus sales, primarily buying from large
contractors such as Laidlaw and National. In 1992 the trend for
new bus sales returned upward and we made the strides that have
defined us as a company. In 1993 we started a full line Parts
Department from which we provided Service as well.
The year 1995 was very good to us; we acquired the Thomas school
bus line. During this period we continued selling the Champion
commercial buses.
In 2000 we moved into our new facility in Tyngsboro, MA. Our team
of sales people who support the New England area can meet all of
your school bus needs. Our state-of-the art Service Department can
provide same day service and we offer a lounge if you choose to
wait for repairs. Our parts department has become second to none
in our area and we have a roving delivery truck on a regular
route.
