Our mission is to successfully market the Thomas Better Built bus product line to the New England transportation community by focusing on and attaining a significant share of the region’s market by demonstrating superior product knowledge, having a thorough understanding of customers’ needs, the market and industry.  At New England Transit Sales, Inc.  providing customer specific service is our top priority.

About Us

Since our 1977 inception, New England Transit Sales, Inc. (NETS) has worked hard to become the region’s leading school bus dealership providing Sales, Service, Parts and Graphics to its Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island customers.

The dealership’s first 18 years were spent representing Carpenter.  For the last 20 years we have been a successful dealership for Thomas Better Built buses offering models C2, Minotaur, and MVP; with available options such as radios, GPS devices, handicap, and wheelchair lifts to name a few.

Beginning with our industry expert Sales Team with a combined 100 years of knowledge, our 11,200 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Service Department, and second-to-none Parts Department, New England Transit Sales, Inc. provides a convenient, full-service solution to customers, enabling a quick and easy return to their business of transportation.

2017 – Celebrated 40 years of service.

2016 – April Thomas award for 20 years of service.

 

 

 

2016 – Platinum Support Instituted by Thomas Built Buses, the Platinum Support program focuses on implementing lean concepts to continuously improve the customer experience. In order for a bus dealer to be certified as a Platinum Support Provider, they must meet 135 individual criteria in 24 different areas, standards that are certified by an independent third party and sustained by weekly audits.

2015  – Awarded – Thomas’ President’s Club Platinum and 20 Years of Service

2014 – NETS is awarded the President’s Club Award presented by Thomas Bus.

2013 – NETS is awarded the President’s Club Gold Award presented by Thomas Bus.

2010 – NETS is awarded the President’s Club Gold Award presented by Thomas Bus.

2009 – NETS is awarded the President’s Club Gold Award presented by Thomas Bus.

2007 – NETS is awarded the President’s Club Silver Award presented by Thomas Bus.

2005 – NETS is awarded the President’s Club Silver Award presented by Thomas Bus.

2000 – NETS moved headquarters to a new facility in Tyngsboro, MA.

1995 – NETS acquired Thomas Bus line.

1993 – NETS established a full line Parts Department.

1992 – New bus sales trend returned to upward sales figures and helped NETS continue to make strides as a school bus dealership.

1990 – NETS witnessed a dramatic downward turn coinciding with the recession in the market and shifted its focus to used bus sales to compensate.

1988 – NETS expanded sales team as sales begin to steadily increase.

1984 – NETS added Champion Commercial bus line to its inventory.

1977 – New England Transit Sales, Inc. (NETS) began selling schools buses in the New England area (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine) from Waltham, MA.
